Garuda Municipality is one of the 18 municipalities in Rautahat District of Madhesh Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 60,857, comprising 30,951 males (50.9%) and 29,906 females (49.1%), with a literacy rate of 57.65%. Spanning 44.46 square kilometers, Garuda Municipality exhibits the population density of 1,369 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 9 wards.
