UGC Scholarship for Differently-Abled, Dalit, Economically Disadvantaged, Mukta Kamalari, and Muslim-Female Students

University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced scholarships for higher education for the differently-abled, Dalit, economically disadvantaged, Mukta Kamalari, and Muslim-female students. The scholarships are available for the applicants currently studying in the first year/semester of Bachelors level, who fulfill the minimum qualification as mentioned in the directive on scholarships for differently-abled, Dalit, economically disadvantaged, Mukta Kamalari, and Muslim-female students.

Interested applicants are requested to fill the application form in the format as specified (schedule 1) by the Commission and submit it to the campus/college/department they are currently enrolled in along with the required documents within the office hours by Ashad 10, 2079 (June 24, 2022).

Required Documents

  • Proof of child relationship with parents
  • Proof that a person who has not been reinstated in government service and is receiving salary benefits from the state treasury does not have children but it is not applicable in the case of the differently-abled
  • Evidence of Dalit caste in case of Dalit
  • Proof of Mukta Kamalari in case of Mukta Kamalari
  • Proof of being a Muslim in the case of a Muslim woman
  • Certificate issued by the Government of Nepal in the case of financially deprived as a poor household
