Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forests and Environment invites proposals from the eligible students pursuing their final year studies at Bachelor or Master Level in Forestry Science, Environmental Science and Natural Resource Management in institutions affiliated to Nepalese Universities to support their dissertation. The study should be conducted in Sudurpaschim Province.
The thematic areas of research are:
- Forest Management
- Environmental/Ecosystem Services
- Climate Change & Carbon Sequestration
- Biodiversity Conservation
- Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPs) and NTFPs Conservation, Cultivation, Marketing, Packaging, Value Chain etc. and Forest based Industries
- Plant Species Conservation and Management
- Ecotourism
- Human Wildlife Conflict
- Soil Conservation and Watershed Management
- Grassland/ Rangeland Management
- Agro-biodiversity
Interested candidates are requested to apply for the grant support with following documents attached with application letter:
- Motivation letter for proposed study
- Research Proposal in standard format
- Recent Resume
- Recommendation letter from supervisor/advisor
- Official letter from the institution.
The proposal must be submitted to the Ministry no later than 21st February, 2019. Both the electronic copy and printed copy are acceptable. Applicant can either submit manually or send it to moitfesudurpaschim@gmail.com
Short listed candidates will be called for presentation at the Ministry and the final candidates will be informed via email and mobile.
Selected candidates must submit their final report by 15th June, 2019.
