Nepal Sanskrit University invites applications from eligible researchers for the following research initiatives under the academic year 2083/084:
- Vidyavaridhi (Ph.D.) Program
- Special Research (Non-degree)
- Minor Research
- Text Editing
- Translation Programs

- Application Deadline: Shrawan 18, 2083 (August 03, 2026) (before 5:00 PM)
- Submission Location: Nepal Sanskrit University Research Center, Beljhundi, Dang
- Determined Quota: 14 for Classical subjects and 12 for Modern subjects, making a total of 26 people.
- Bank Account for Fee Deposit: Rastriya Banijya Bank – Current Account No. 4160100005484001 (in the name of NSU Research Center)
- Application Fees:
- Ph.D. (Vidyavaridhi): Rs. 3,000/-
- Non-degree Programs: Rs. 1,000/-
Application Process
Interested researchers must submit their application within 35 days from the notice publication date (i.e., by 2083 Shrawan 18).
How to Apply:
- Download the prescribed application form from the official website: Download Application Form
- Deposit the required fee (Rs. 3,000 for Ph.D. or Rs. 1,000 for others) in the name of the Research Center at Rastriya Banijya Bank, Account No. 4160100005484001.
- Attach the following documents:
- Completed and signed application form
- Copy of the bank deposit receipt
- Research Concept Paper (approx. 3,000 words in the prescribed format)
- Three research articles (for Ph.D. applicants)
- Attested copies of academic transcripts (SLC/SEE to Master's) and Citizenship
- Submit the full application set to the Nepal Sanskrit University Research Center, Beljhundi, Dang before the deadline.
Note: Incomplete applications, those that do not meet the minimum academic criteria (Second Division in Master's), or those without the required fee receipt will not be accepted.
