Nagarjun Municipality has issued a directive setting maximum fee limits for private schools operating within its jurisdiction. The decision comes following complaints from parents and guardians about schools charging excessive fees, creating an unnecessary financial burden on families despite government policies and laws.
According to the municipality, such complaints have been regularly received by the office. The municipality has urged all schools to strictly follow the fee structure approved by the Nagarjun Municipal Education Committee. It has also warned that any violations during school monitoring will result in legal action as per existing laws.
The decision was made by the Nagarjun Municipal Education Committee on 2081/02/06. Schools are permitted to charge fees based on their classification under the rules. The detailed monthly fee limits (in Nepali Rupees) for different grades and categories are as follows:
