Kathmandu Model College (KMC), Bagbazar, in collaboration with the University Grants Commission (UGC), Nepal, successfully hosted a three-day Research Article Writing Workshop from 11–13 Baishakh, 2082. Sixty faculty members and researchers from 10 colleges and universities across Kathmandu participated, creating a dynamic platform for academic exchange.
The workshop was inaugurated by UGC Chairperson Prof. Dr. Dev Raj Adhikari, who underscored the importance of research writing skills for academic excellence. Participants included teaching faculty and M.Phil./Ph.D. scholars.
Twelve intensive sessions, led by distinguished experts such as Asst. Prof. Dr. Bharat Singh Thapa, Asst. Prof. Dr. Rewan Kr. Dahal, Dr. Amina Singh, Asst. Prof. Dr. Surendra Mahato Biswakarma, Dr. Prakash Poudel, Asst. Prof. Dr. Dinesh Basnet, Prof. Dr. Arhan Sthapit, and Prof. Dr. Mahananda Chalise equipped participants with practical strategies for producing high-quality research articles.
The opening and closing sessions were coordinated by Mr. Dhurba Prasad Timalsina, Head of KMC’s Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The final day featured hands-on application of skills, followed by a certificate distribution ceremony. Certificates were awarded by Prof. Dr. Mahananda Chalise, who applauded the increasing research initiatives in private institutions and reaffirmed Tribhuvan University's support.
College Chief Mr. Surendra Subedi emphasized KMC’s commitment to strengthening research culture, while Research Coordinator Prof. Dr. Shreedhar Gautam expressed satisfaction with the workshop’s outcomes. The organizers extended sincere thanks to UGC for its support.
