The Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) is an autonomous apex organisation that was founded in 1982 to promote science and technology in Nepal. The Academy is charged with four primary goals: advancing science and technology for the nation's overall development; preserving and modernizing indigenous technologies; promoting science and technology research; and identifying and facilitating suitable technology transfer.
