Kathmandu, Feb 24 Prof Dr Resham Bahadur Rana has been appointed the Dean of Karnali Academy of Health Sciences ( KAHS).
KAHS vice chancellor Pro Dr Rajendra Raj Wagle appointed Rana to the post recently as per the KAHS Act-2068 BS.
Earlier, Pro Dr Kiran Regmi was appointed the chief of Department of Gynecology under the KAHS. Dr Regmi who had joined the Baglung District Hospital in 2044 BS when she was with her 25-days-old child, starting her professional career. As she said, she had spent 25 years in rural districts during her professional career, and decided to go to Jumla, quitting the WHO job as she dreamt of improving the health status in rural areas.(RSS)
