Private school organizations have announced that they will provide free education to children being relocated from riverbanks and other high-risk areas. The organizations made this announcement in a joint press release on Sunday.

In a joint press statement, private school organizations, including APEN, NPABSAN, HISSAN, and PABSON, have expressed deep concern over the possible disruption to the education of children from these communities as the government has accelerated the process of removing squatter settlements located along various river banks in the Kathmandu Valley and at risky locations across the country.

The organizations expressed their readiness to work in close coordination with local governments and relevant agencies to address the challenges faced by displaced families. As part of their commitment, they announced plans to provide free education to affected children in private schools within the concerned areas.

Additionally, the organizations said they are prepared to arrange necessary support measures, including residential and transportation facilities, based on need. They noted that these initiatives will be implemented in an organized and effective manner in collaboration with all stakeholders.

Highlighting the importance of collective effort, the statement called on the Government of Nepal, local authorities, educational institutions, and communities to unite in supporting this humanitarian initiative.
