Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has emphasized the necessity of transforming Nepal into a focal point for higher education. He conveyed this message while addressing the ninth meeting of the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences on the 15th of Magh, 2080.

Prime Minister Prachanda asserted, "I firmly believe that Nepal needs to be established as a center for higher education. This isn't just an aspiration but a crucial opportunity for us." He expressed delight at the institute's efforts to attract international students to study at the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences.

Assuring further development of the institute in the days ahead, the Prime Minister underscored the importance of delivering direct services to the people of Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, emphasizing the generation of skilled human resources. He pointed out, "The institute not only serves the ailing but also contributes by producing skilled and efficient healthcare professionals."

Recognizing the pivotal role played by the institute during challenging circumstances for the nation and its citizens, Prime Minister Dahal stated, "Whether facing the COVID pandemic or the recent earthquake, the institute has played a critical role in preparedness, alertness, rescue operations, and medical treatments."

Highlighting the institute's crucial role in steering the country and its people through difficult situations, Prime Minister Dahal expressed confidence in the institute's ability to contribute to research, development, and innovation sectors based on natural resources.

He emphasized Karnali's unique position and called for a specialized initiative in pharmaceutical production by utilizing natural resources, particularly herbal sources. The Prime Minister provided directives for the institute to initiate necessary groundwork for pharmaceutical production, even in the face of resource shortages. Acknowledging the commendable work of the institute, he assured government support for ambitious plans to maximize Karnali's potential.

Addressing concerns such as transportation challenges, scarcity of skilled medical professionals and technicians, and other resource constraints, the Prime Minister acknowledged the difficulties faced in service delivery and the creation of a skilled workforce. He assured that the government would take appropriate measures to address these challenges.

In conclusion, Prime Minister Dahal pledged that the government would implement effective strategies to leverage Karnali's immense potential, addressing challenges in service delivery and fostering the development of skilled professionals.
