'Ok Baje' again lends helping hand to set up school library

Bejhad, Nov 21 (RSS): A Japanese national has assisted Rs 400 thousand to set up a library at the Janata Basic School based in Pakdi of Nisdi rural municipality-5, Palpa. 

Social worker Kaju Masa Kakimi, popularly known as 'Ok Baje' (Ok Grandpa) among the Nepalese community here financially supported the school to get the library, according to Parents Teachers Association chair Durga Somai. 
Besides, the benevolent man has provided Rs 50 thousand for the management of mats and a book rack in the school. 

The man of about 80 years of age who has been staying in Palpa for around the past 20 years has established a revolving fund of Rs 200 thousand to provide scholarship to poor and meritorious students of Saraswoti Secondary School at Nisdi rural municipality-5. 

His generosity does not end here; the school has received Rs 50 thousands from his personal account to buy a smart board, principal Chandra Kanta Gaire said.
