Madhesh University has announced the launch of three new academic programs from the 2083 academic session. The university will introduce a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the postgraduate level and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at the undergraduate level. The curricula for all three programs have been finalized, and the university is preparing to publish the official admission notice.

According to Registrar Vijay Kumar Yadav, all academic preparations for the new programs have been completed, and the university is ready to commence classes during the current academic session. The upcoming admission notice will include eligibility criteria, application procedures, and other important dates.

Madhesh University currently offers Master of Public Administration (MPA), BA LLB, and Bachelor of Public Management (BPM). The university stated that the addition of the new programs is in response to increasing student interest in its existing academic offerings.

Established on 22 September 2022 (Bhadra 22, 2079 BS) under the Madhesh University Act, 2079, the university currently operates from the National Trading building in Birgunj.

Looking ahead, the university plans to expand its academic portfolio by introducing programs in MBBS, laboratory technology, physiotherapy, pharmacy, science, information technology, MPhil, and PhD. It is also conducting a feasibility study to launch an MBBS program in collaboration with Narayani Hospital, Birgunj, and Pokhariya Hospital.

Additionally, the university aims to establish the Madhesh Research and Training Centre and the Madhesh Skill School to strengthen research, skill development, and access to higher education across the province.
