The 29th meeting of the Educational Human Resource Development Council was concluded on Wednesday, under the chairmanship of Minister for Education and Sports, Sasmit Pokharel. The meeting approved three important new in-service training curricula aimed at enhancing quality improvement and administrative efficiency in the education sector.

The council approved the Teacher Trainer Training Curriculum, 2083, the Headteacher Leadership Capacity Development Training Curriculum, 2083, and the In-service Training Curriculum, 2083 for Gazetted Second Class, Third Class, and Technical Assistant Employees of the Nepal Education Service.

Established under Rule 72 of the Education Regulations, 2059, the council has been working in the areas of capacity development, policy formulation, and management for teachers, ministry employees, and individuals involved in the education sector.

According to the ministry, the implementation of the newly approved Teacher Trainer Training Curriculum is expected to strengthen the capacity of trainers, making professional development training programs for teachers more effective.

Similarly, the Headteacher Leadership Capacity Development Training Curriculum is expected to promote effective educational leadership in schools and contribute significantly to improving the overall academic and administrative quality of educational institutions.

The council also stated that the approved in-service curriculum for gazetted second-class, third-class, and technical assistant employees of the education service aims to enhance the capacity of civil servants at all three levels of government in line with the spirit of federalism. The ministry expects this to strengthen citizen-centered service delivery and support the result-oriented implementation of various educational programs.
