Center for Education and Human Resource Development has urged schools to adhere to the regulations set forth by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology for the upcoming academic session. In addition to the academic session and admission rules, the Center has emphasized the importance of providing scholarships to deserving students.

As per sub-section (3) of section 27 of the Compulsory and Free Education Act 2075, private investment schools and schools operating under public educational groups with up to five hundred students must allocate at least 10% of the students from the scholarship category. Schools with between five hundred and eight hundred students must allocate at least 12% of seats to scholarships, and schools with more than eight hundred students must allocate at least 15% percent of seats to scholarships.

The Center has stressed that schools must distribute scholarships based on the specified number of scholarships, and the local level must facilitate and monitor the distribution to ensure its effectiveness and transparency. Schools found violating the provision face severe consequences as the government takes strict action against non-compliance.

The provision has received widespread support from students and parents as it helps create a more inclusive and equitable education system, empowering students to pursue their dreams, irrespective of their financial background. The Education Ministry is committed to providing quality education to all students and creating a level playing field for their academic careers.
