Dr. Surendra Kumar Gautam has been named as the new Assistant-Dean of the Department of Science and Technology, Tribhuvan University. Dr. Gautam was appointed to this role on the 5th of July 2021 and will be assuming his new role at the department with immediate effect.
He was welcomed into this role by Dr. Binil Aryal. Dr. Gautam was selected for this role because of his sheer determination towards the upliftment of departments and campuses by setting up well-equipped laboratories, libraries, infrastructures along with employing skilled Human Resources.
About the Institute of Science and Technology (IoST)
Institute of Science and Technology(IoST), established in 1989, is one of the oldest, largest and pioneering technical Institutes in Tribhuvan University. IoST has 13 Central Departments, one school, 25 constituent campuses, and 103 affiliated campuses. 13 Central Departments run regular 15 Master’s programs and Ph.D. Programs in all subjects. Out of 25 constituent campuses under IoST, 9 campuses run both the bachelor’s and master’s level programs, one campus runs only master’s degree Program, and the remaining all run bachelor’s degree programs.
