Kathmandu: The Curriculum of Grade 1 to 12 is going to be modified. With the dismissal of Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB), after the Eighth Amendment of the Education Act, the new curriculum is going to be designed for the school levels in accordance with the federal structure.

‘New curriculum for the different school levels has been brought to connect all the Union, state and local levels,’ said the Executive director of the Curriculum Development Centre, Krishna Prasad Kapri. Books of grade 11 and 12 are going to be changed after 17 years of the formation of the council. Students of grade 11, who are going to be enrolled in the upcoming month of Shrawan will get to study under the new curriculum.

To provide same quality level education in all the seven states and the local levels, the curriculum is going to be amended and modified, said Kapri. After the inclusion of Grade 11 and 12 in the school levels, the centre decided to make the new curriculum. The centre is preparing for implementing Grade 1-3 under the integrated system. In those classes, the plan has been made to teach the language and math with a new integrated way. The contour has been prepared keeping Grade 1 – 8 as primary level and grade 9 – 12 as secondary level.
