National Examination Board (NEB), Sanothimi, Bhaktapur has published the academic calendar for the year 2079/80. It has urged all the affiliated Secondary Schools to follow the calendar.
Key Dates
Registration Form Distribution
- Registration forms should be distributed to the students who have been admitted to grade 11 before Kartik 30, 2079 (November 16, 2022)
Registration Form Fillup
- Date for form fillup: Poush 15, 2079 (December 15, 2022)
- Date for form fillup with added fee: Before Poush last, 2079
Registration Card Distribution
- Board will distribute the registration card to the colleges till Falgun 15, 2079 (February 27, 2023).
Exam Form Distribution
- Exam forms will be distributed to the respective colleges for grade 12 students from Poush 1, 2079 (December 16, 2022).
Exam Form Fillup
- Colleges should collect the filled-up form for partial/grade increments of grade 11 students and regular and partial/grade increments between Poush 16 (December 31, 2022) and Magh 15, 2079 (January 29, 2023).
Exam form Fillup and Submission
- Students should fill up the form between Magh 16 (January 30, 2023) and Magh 29 (February 12, 2023) with or without the additional fee and the colleges should submit the form to the board by Falgun 15, 2079 (February 27, 2023).
Examination Timetable
- The timetable for the annual examination of class 12 regular, partial/grade increase and class 11 (partial/grade increase) students to be conducted in the month of Baisakh will be published by the Magh 29, 2079 (February 12, 2023).
Examination Center
- The examination center for the examination to be conducted in the month of Baisakh, 2080 of class 12 Annual and Class 11 (Partial/Grade Increase) will be determined by the Falgun 30, 2079 (March 14, 2023).
Admit Card Distribution
- Admit Cards will be distributed to respective colleges till Chaitra, 2079.
Practical Examination/Internal Evaluation
- The schedule of practical examination of the subjects for which the external examiner will be assigned by the board should be decided by the respective schools/campuses and submitted to the relevant office of the board by the end of Falgun 2079. According to the Letter Grading Guide, 2078, students who have not obtained a minimum grade of 'C' in the subject matter internal assessment will not be eligible to participate in the annual examination conducted by the Board, Class 12 Experimental. The internal evaluation should be completed by the end of Chaitra 2079 and the score according to the name and registration number of the examinee should be sent to the relevant offices of the board by Baisakh 15, 2080. Class 11 partial/grade increase examinees who registered before 2076 or earlier (the first two marks of registration no. are 76 or less) must complete the practical examination by the end of Baisakh 2080 and submit it to the board by Jestha 15, 2080. The score will have to be submitted to the respective offices. (Students who do not obtain a minimum C grade in the practical/internal assessment are also informed not to participate in the annual examination).
Examination Conduction
- Annual Examination
- The grade 12 Annual examinations will be conducted in the second week of Baishak 2080.
- The grade 11 partial/grade increment exam will be conducted in the third week of Baishak 2080.
- The grade 11 Annual examinations will be conducted in the last week of Baishak 2080.
- Grade Increment Examination
- Class 12 grade increment examination will be conducted within 45 days from the date of publication of the results.
Publication of results
- Annual Examination
- The results of the annual examination of class 12 will be published by end of the Shrawan 2080.
- The results of the partial/grade increment of class 11 will be published by the end of Bhadra 2080.
- Grade Increment Examination
- The results of the partial/grade increment of class 12 will be published within 45 days from the date of examination.
Retotalling
- Retotattling Application: within 15 days from the date of the result published.
- Retotalling Result Publication: within 45 days from the date of the result published (before grade increment examination).
Pre-requisite Course Program
- Registration application form fill up and submission: First week of Ashoj, 2079
- Exam Application form fill up and submission: End of Ashoj, 2079
- Examination: Last week of Kartik, 2079
- Result Publication: till Mangsir 15, 2079 (December 01, 2022).
- Grade increment exam: Within 15 days from the date of publication of the result of the prerequisite examination.
- Grade increment exam result: Within 10 days from the date of the examination
