As per the 2021 census, the rural municipality has a total population of 18,301, comprising 8,930 males (48.8%) and 9,371 females (51.2%), with a literacy rate of 70.47%. Spanning 88.22 square kilometers, Thantikandh Rural Municipality exhibits the population density of 207 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 6 wards.
