Kaligandaki

Kaligandaki Rural Municipality is one of the 11 municipalities in Syangja District of Gandaki Province. As per the 2021 census, the rural municipality has a total population of 17,955, comprising 8,144 males (45.4%) and 9,811 females (54.6%), with a literacy rate of 82.15%. Spanning 73.51 square kilometers, Kaligandaki Rural Municipality exhibits the population density of 244 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 7 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Kaligandaki has 38 schools. Of these, 3 are private and 35 are public.
