Simkot Rural Municipality is one of the 7 municipalities in Humla District of Karnali Province. As per the 2021 census, the rural municipality has a total population of 11,935, comprising 6,047 males (50.7%) and 5,888 females (49.3%), with a literacy rate of 66.41%. Spanning 785.89 square kilometers, Simkot Rural Municipality exhibits the population density of 15 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 8 wards.
