Rajbiraj Municipality is one of the 18 municipalities in Saptari District of Madhesh Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 70,803, comprising 36,284 males (51.2%) and 34,519 females (48.8%), with a literacy rate of 76.56%. Spanning 55.64 square kilometers, Rajbiraj Municipality exhibits the population density of 1,273 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 16 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Rajbiraj has 80 schools. Of these, 37 are private and 41 are public.
