As per the 2021 census, the rural municipality has a total population of 25,414, comprising 13,100 males (51.5%) and 12,314 females (48.5%), with a literacy rate of 67.31%. Spanning 20.24 square kilometers, Prasauni Rural Municipality exhibits the population density of 1,256 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 7 wards.
