Phalewas

Phalewas Municipality is one of the 7 municipalities in Parbat District of Gandaki Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 20,468, comprising 9,365 males (45.8%) and 11,103 females (54.2%), with a literacy rate of 78.21%. Spanning 85.7 square kilometers, Phalewas Municipality exhibits the population density of 239 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 11 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Phalewas has 53 schools. Of these, 5 are private and 48 are public. The breakdown includes 36 pre-schools, 50 basic schools, and 14 secondary schools. Among the secondary schools, 9 offer +2 programs.
