Omsatiya Rural Municipality is one of the 16 municipalities in Rupandehi District of Lumbini Province. As per the 2021 census, the rural municipality has a total population of 41,141, comprising 20,452 males (49.7%) and 20,689 females (50.3%), with a literacy rate of 78.24%. Spanning 48.54 square kilometers, Omsatiya Rural Municipality exhibits the population density of 848 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 6 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Omsatiya has 35 schools. Of these, 14 are private and 16 are public. The breakdown includes 32 pre-schools, 35 basic schools, and 11 secondary schools. Among the secondary schools, 2 offer +2 programs.
