Neelakantha

Neelakantha Municipality is one of the 13 municipalities in Dhading District of Bagmati Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 58,828, comprising 27,365 males (46.5%) and 31,463 females (53.5%), with a literacy rate of 75.83%. Spanning 197.7 square kilometers, Neelakantha Municipality exhibits the population density of 298 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 14 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Neelakantha has 86 schools. Of these, 10 are private and 75 are public. The breakdown includes 68 pre-schools, 83 basic schools, and 33 secondary schools. Among the secondary schools, 16 offer +2 programs.
