Nagarjun

Nagarjun Municipality is one of the 11 municipalities in Kathmandu District of Bagmati Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 115,437, comprising 57,596 males (49.9%) and 57,841 females (50.1%), with a literacy rate of 89.15%. Spanning 29.85 square kilometers, Nagarjun Municipality exhibits the population density of 3,867 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 10 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Nagarjun has 80 schools. Of these, 59 are private and 19 are public. The breakdown includes 58 pre-schools, 76 basic schools, and 57 secondary schools. Among the secondary schools, 14 offer +2 programs.
