Myanglung Municipality is one of the 6 municipalities in Tehrathum District of Koshi Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 18,750, comprising 9,114 males (48.6%) and 9,636 females (51.4%), with a literacy rate of 85.64%. Spanning 100.21 square kilometers, Myanglung Municipality exhibits the population density of 187 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 10 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Myanglung has 37 schools. Of these, 9 are private and 28 are public.
