Aurahi Municipality is one of the 15 municipalities in Mahottari District of Madhesh Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 37,361, comprising 18,711 males (50.1%) and 18,650 females (49.9%), with a literacy rate of 55.65%. Spanning 35.76 square kilometers, Aurahi Municipality exhibits the population density of 1,045 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 9 wards.
