Lekbeshi Municipality is one of the 9 municipalities in Surkhet District of Karnali Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 31,710, comprising 14,877 males (46.9%) and 16,833 females (53.1%), with a literacy rate of 82.21%. Spanning 180.92 square kilometers, Lekbeshi Municipality exhibits the population density of 175 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 10 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Lekbeshi has 52 schools. Of these, 5 are private and 47 are public.
