Lamahi Municipality is one of the 10 municipalities in Dang District of Lumbini Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 59,050, comprising 28,501 males (48.3%) and 30,549 females (51.7%), with a literacy rate of 80.88%. Spanning 326.66 square kilometers, Lamahi Municipality exhibits the population density of 181 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 9 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Lamahi has 48 schools. Of these, 20 are private and 27 are public. The breakdown includes 38 pre-schools, 45 basic schools, and 19 secondary schools. Among the secondary schools, 8 offer +2 programs.
