As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 123,116, comprising 62,399 males (50.7%) and 60,717 females (49.3%), with a literacy rate of 79.97%. Spanning 26.51 square kilometers, Mahalaxmi Municipality exhibits the population density of 4,644 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 10 wards.
