Khandachakra Municipality is one of the 9 municipalities in Kalikot District of Karnali Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 22,274, comprising 11,212 males (50.3%) and 11,062 females (49.7%), with a literacy rate of 73.95%. Spanning 133.29 square kilometers, Khandachakra Municipality exhibits the population density of 167 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 11 wards.
