Ilam
Ilam Municipality is one of the 10 municipalities in Ilam District of Koshi Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 50,085, comprising 24,411 males (48.7%) and 25,674 females (51.3%), with a literacy rate of 86.73%. Spanning 173.32 square kilometers, Ilam Municipality exhibits the population density of 289 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 12 wards.
According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Ilam has 71 schools. Of these, 24 are private and 47 are public.
