Musikot Municipality is one of the 12 municipalities in Gulmi District of Lumbini Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 28,454, comprising 13,096 males (46.0%) and 15,358 females (54.0%), with a literacy rate of 80.6%. Spanning 114.74 square kilometers, Musikot Municipality exhibits the population density of 248 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 9 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Musikot has 72 schools. Of these, 6 are private and 66 are public. The breakdown includes 66 pre-schools, 56 basic schools, and 19 secondary schools. Among the secondary schools, 6 offer +2 programs.
