Golbazar

Golbazar Municipality is one of the 17 municipalities in Siraha District of Madhesh Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 63,885, comprising 31,611 males (49.5%) and 32,274 females (50.5%), with a literacy rate of 67.5%. Spanning 111.94 square kilometers, Golbazar Municipality exhibits the population density of 571 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 13 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Golbazar has 66 schools. Of these, 24 are private and 37 are public. The breakdown includes 50 pre-schools, 61 basic schools, and 24 secondary schools. Among the secondary schools, 7 offer +2 programs.
