Gauradaha

Gauradaha Municipality is one of the 15 municipalities in Jhapa District of Koshi Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 60,451, comprising 28,695 males (47.5%) and 31,756 females (52.5%), with a literacy rate of 78.92%. Spanning 149.86 square kilometers, Gauradaha Municipality exhibits the population density of 403 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 9 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Gauradaha has 58 schools. Of these, 24 are private and 32 are public. The breakdown includes 47 pre-schools, 57 basic schools, and 20 secondary schools. Among the secondary schools, 9 offer +2 programs.
