As per the 2021 census, the rural municipality has a total population of 21,503, comprising 10,045 males (46.7%) and 11,458 females (53.3%), with a literacy rate of 77.26%. Spanning 124.38 square kilometers, Gangadev Rural Municipality exhibits the population density of 173 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 7 wards.
