Gandaki

Gandaki Rural Municipality is one of the 11 municipalities in Gorkha District of Gandaki Province. As per the 2021 census, the rural municipality has a total population of 21,394, comprising 10,289 males (48.1%) and 11,105 females (51.9%), with a literacy rate of 72.05%. Spanning 123.86 square kilometers, Gandaki Rural Municipality exhibits the population density of 173 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 8 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Gandaki has 40 schools. Of these, 39 are public. The breakdown includes 33 pre-schools, 38 basic schools, and 12 secondary schools. Among the secondary schools, 6 offer +2 programs.
