Dhorpatan Municipality is one of the 10 municipalities in Baglung District of Gandaki Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 30,068, comprising 13,967 males (46.5%) and 16,101 females (53.5%), with a literacy rate of 79.98%. Spanning 222.85 square kilometers, Dhorpatan Municipality exhibits the population density of 135 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 9 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Dhorpatan has 53 schools. Of these, 5 are private and 47 are public.
