Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City is one of the 13 municipalities in Kailali District of Sudurpashchim Province. As per the 2021 census, the sub-metropolitan city has a total population of 198,792, comprising 98,184 males (49.4%) and 100,608 females (50.6%), with a literacy rate of 83.28%. Spanning 261.75 square kilometers, Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City exhibits the population density of 759 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 19 wards.
