As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 24,527, comprising 12,390 males (50.5%) and 12,137 females (49.5%), with a literacy rate of 70.74%. Spanning 480.67 square kilometers, Chhayanath Rara Municipality exhibits the population density of 51 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 14 wards.
