As per the 2021 census, the rural municipality has a total population of 19,357, comprising 8,617 males (44.5%) and 10,740 females (55.5%), with a literacy rate of 79.19%. Spanning 87.01 square kilometers, Chhatrakot Rural Municipality exhibits the population density of 222 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 6 wards.
