Chandragiri

Chandragiri Municipality is one of the 11 municipalities in Kathmandu District of Bagmati Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 136,860, comprising 68,303 males (49.9%) and 68,557 females (50.1%), with a literacy rate of 87.27%. Spanning 43.92 square kilometers, Chandragiri Municipality exhibits the population density of 3,116 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 15 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Chandragiri has 84 schools. Of these, 57 are private and 27 are public. The breakdown includes 65 pre-schools, 77 basic schools, and 54 secondary schools. Among the secondary schools, 11 offer +2 programs.
