Birtamod Municipality is one of the 15 municipalities in Jhapa District of Koshi Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 116,192, comprising 56,105 males (48.3%) and 60,087 females (51.7%), with a literacy rate of 87.11%. Spanning 78.24 square kilometers, Birtamod Municipality exhibits the population density of 1,485 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 10 wards.
