Banepa Municipality is one of the 13 municipalities in Kavrepalanchok District of Bagmati Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 67,690, comprising 33,172 males (49.0%) and 34,518 females (51.0%), with a literacy rate of 84.81%. Spanning 55.0 square kilometers, Banepa Municipality exhibits the population density of 1,231 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 14 wards.
