Balwa

Balwa Municipality is one of the 15 municipalities in Mahottari District of Madhesh Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 49,473, comprising 24,277 males (49.1%) and 25,196 females (50.9%), with a literacy rate of 51.87%. Spanning 44.07 square kilometers, Balwa Municipality exhibits the population density of 1,123 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 11 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Balwa has 43 schools. Of these, 13 are private and 23 are public.
