RBB-Level 4, Assistant and Assistant (Cash) Exam · सहायक तथा सहायक (नगद)

The Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) Assistant-Level 4 Selection Exam is a rigorous process designed to identify and select qualified candidates for the position of Assistant within the Administration Service, (Administration Group, and Cash Group). The selection process is divided into three stages: a Pre Test Examination, a Written Examination, and an Interview.

Stages of the Examination

First Stage: Pre-Test Examination

  • Total Marks: 100
  • Passing Marks: 40
  • Duration: 45 minutes

Examination Scheme

The Pre Test Examination is composed of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering five main subjects:

  • Banking
  • Management and Accounts
  • Mathematics
  • General Knowledge
  • Computer

There will be 50 objective-type questions from the five areas mentioned above (please check the curriculum). Candidates will answer 50 questions, each worth two marks, for a total of 100 marks for this stage. The examination is designed to be comprehensive, and all questions are compulsory. Candidates must complete the test within 45 minutes.

All questions are compulsory. For each incorrect answer in the Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs), 20% of the marks for the question will be deducted. However, no marks will be awarded or deducted for unanswered questions.

In the MCQ exam, candidates must write their answers in English capital letters (A, B, C, D). Any answer written in lowercase letters (a, b, c, d) or any other symbol will cancel the entire answer booklet. No type of calculator is allowed in the MCQ exam.

It is important to note that only candidates who pass 40 will proceed to the next stage. However, the marks obtained in the Pre-Test Examination will not be included in the final score for the overall selection process.

Second Stage

The second stage of the Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) Assistant-Level 4 Selection Exam is the Written Examination. This stage comprises two papers, each worth 100 marks and lasting 3 hours.

Paper 1: Banking, Accounting & Information Technology

  • Total Marks: 100
  • Duration: 3 hours

This paper includes ten subject-based questions. Candidates must answer all ten questions, demonstrating their knowledge across all these critical areas.

Paper 2: Management, Mathematics & Service Related

  • Total Marks: 100
  • Duration: 3 hours

Similarly, the second paper consists of ten subject-based questions. As with the first paper, answering all questions and assessing the candidates' proficiency in these areas is mandatory.

Third Stage Interview

Only candidates who pass the second stage written exam will be eligible for the third stage interview. An oral interview of 30 marks is taken for the selected candidates.

Eligibility

Academic Qualification 

Assistant and Assistant (Cash): Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL) or equivalent qualification.

Age Requirements for Candidates

As of the online application deadline, candidates applying for Assistant Level positions (Levels 4 and 5) must be at least 18 and not older than 35. However, women and disabled candidates are eligible to apply up to 40. These age restrictions do not apply to existing permanent bank employees who are exempt from the above age limits.

Posting 

Employees appointed to Assistant and Assistant (Cash) positions (Level 4) will be posted to work in the respective provinces and their branch offices (for Bagmati Province, offices outside the Kathmandu Valley) for a minimum of 7 years.

Probation Period

6 months for female employees and 1 year for male employees.

Other Service Conditions

As per the National Commercial Bank Limited, Employee Service Regulations, 2070 (including the seventh amendment).
