NBL-Assistant Manager-IT (Level 6 ) Exam

Nepal Bank Limited, one of the leading financial institutions in Nepal, conducts an open competitive examination to recruit candidates for the Assistant Manager-IT (Level 6) position.

The position offered by Nepal Bank Limited is for permanent employment. Selected and appointed employees must work at any office or branch designated by the bank. The salary and other benefits are provided in accordance with the bank's prevailing rules and regulations. The probation period for new employees is set at one year, although it is reduced to six months for women employees.

This examination is designed to identify and select the most qualified individuals to join the bank's workforce. The selection process is rigorous and comprises two main phases:

Nature of Exam

(a) Written Exam: 200 Marks

This is the first phase of the selection process, with 200 marks. The medium of language for the written exam will be Nepali or English, or both. Candidates have to give two papers. The written examination for the first and second papers will be conducted separately.

The first paper covers Banking, Management, and General IT, and the second paper covers Information and Technology. Each of these papers carries full marks of 100 and pass marks of 40. Subjective questions and multiple-choice questions will be asked in the examination, which will last 3 hours for the first paper and 2 hours and 15 minutes for the second paper.

The written exam of Assistant Manager-IT 6th level of Nepal Bank Limited is conducted by the Public Service Commission.

(b) Interview: 30 Marks

Candidates who pass the written examination will proceed to the second phase, which is the interview. This phase carries 30 marks and evaluates the candidate's interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and suitability for the role of an assistant in the bank.

Branch Selection for Assistant Position

Candidates who succeed in the written exam for the Assistant Manager-IT position (Level 6) will be provided with a branch selection list for the respective province during the interview. Candidates will be appointed to their preferred branches/offices based on their final merit ranking.

As per Regulation 7, Clause 4 of the Nepal Bank Limited Employee Service Regulations 2079, employees initially appointed to a branch/office must serve there for at least three years or until promotion, whichever is shorter.
