The Department of Biotechnology at Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel, is proud to host the second edition of Watson Code Fest, Nepal’s only biohackathon.
The workshop will be held on May 5–6, 2026, followed by the main event on May 8–9, 2026. It brings together people from different fields to solve problems using biology and technology.
Following the success of its 2022 debut, Watson Code Fest continues to position Nepal as a bio-innovation hub, encouraging collaboration among students, professionals, and tech enthusiasts.
This inclusive event welcomes participants from any background—biology, coding, or beyond. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, mentorship programs ensure guidance in coding basics, biotech fundamentals, and problem-solving. Teams can comprise two members or even a single participant.
Interested participants can register individually or as a team of two. For more details, visit @biohackathon_ku on Instagram or follow Watson Code Fest on Facebook.
