The Model Local Assembly (MLA) is a practical learning event designed for +2 students, focusing on the federalism established by the Constitution of Nepal 2072 B.S. Organized by The Orders Club of Uniglobe Secondary School, the event aims to educate participants about the local governance process, its litigation procedures, and the significant role that young minds can play in it.
The MLA is a novel initiative introduced in +2 colleges within the Kathmandu Valley, with the objective of promoting this event regionally and setting a precedent for others to follow. It will provide students with insights into legal provisions concerning local government while enhancing their leadership skills and political awareness. It will feature representatives from the National Election Commission and Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
The Assembly is scheduled from Shrawan 30 to 32, 2081 (August 14 to 16, 2024).
